Kittie Blakemore
Virginia "Kittie" Blakemore (November 27, 1928 – July 29, 2020) was an American basketball coach.

She was the founder of the Mountaineer women’s basketball program. She was the first coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers women's basketball team. Starting in 1973, she was coach of the team for 19 seasons.[1][2]
Blakemore was named the A-10 Coach of the Year in 1984 and 1992 and was inducted into the WVU College of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences Hall of Fame in 1994.[1]
