Kenny McFadden

Kenny McFadden is an American former professional basketball player who currently works in coaching and development of basketball in New Zealand.

In the United States, McFadden played for Washington State University under coach George Raveling.

After his college career, McFadden moved to New Zealand in 1982 and joined the Wellington Saints.[1] At the Saints, he served as player-coach and won four championships during the 1980s. He retired in 1996, and during the 2000s McFadden has been very involved with junior player development.[2] Youth players he has worked with in New Zealand include future NBA center Steven Adams.[3]

In 2010 and 2011, McFadden served as an assistant coach for the Wellington Saints under coach Pero Cameron.[4] He returned to the role in 2019 under coach Paul Henare.,[4] following hospital treatment for a kidney disorder.[5]
