Keisei 3000 series

The Keisei 3000 series (京成3000形) is a DC electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by the private railway operator Keisei Electric Railway on commuter services in the Tokyo area of Japan since 2003.[2]

Operations

The eight-car sets are also used on inter-running services via the Toei Asakusa Line to and from the Keikyu Main Line.[3]

Formations

As of 1 April 2016, the fleet consisted of six eight-car sets (3001 and 3026 to 3030) and 26 six-car sets (3002 to 3025 and 3031 to 3032) formed as shown below.[3] As of February 2019, a total of 19 eight-car sets and 29 six-car sets have been built.[1]

Seating accommodation consists of longitudinal bench seating throughout.[4]

History

A second eight-car set, 3026, was delivered from the Nippon Sharyo factory in Toyokawa, Aichi in January 2013, approximately five years after the previous set was built.[5]

Fleet build details

The build histories for the most recent 3000 series sets are as shown below.[3] Two six-car sets, 3031 and 3032, were delivered during fiscal 2015, entering revenue service in February and March 2016 respectively.[6] These trains feature interior LED lighting.[6]

The Keisei 3050 series (京成3050形) is a commuter electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by the private railway operator Keisei Electric Railway on the Narita Sky Access Line in Japan since 17 July 2010.[15]

Formation

As of 1 April 2015, the fleet consists of six 8-car sets, numbered 3051 to 3056, and formed as shown below, with six motored (M) cars and two trailer (T) cars.[16] Car 1 is at the Narita Airport end.[16]

Cars 2 and 7 have two PT7131-B single-arm pantographs. Car 5 has one.[15]

Interior

Passenger accommodation consists of longitudinal bench seating throughout. From 31 March 2013, WiMAX wireless broadband internet access was provided on all 3050 series trains.[17]

History

The trains entered service in July 2010.

In 2019, the livery of set 3052 was changed to match the livery of the Keisei 3100 series trains, with four other 3050 series sets scheduled to be reliveried the same way in the future.[18]

Starting from December 2019, 3050 series trains were re-liveried to match the 3000 series trains. As of August 2020, sets 3051, 3052 and 3053 have been re-liveried.[19][20] [21]
