Kawarayu-Onsen Station

Kawarayu-Onsen Station (川原湯温泉駅, Kawarayu-Onsen-eki) is a passenger railway station in the town of Naganohara, Gunma, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

History

The station opened on 20 April 1946, initially named Kawarayu Station (川原湯駅).[1] With the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR East. It was renamed Kawarayu-Onsen on 1 December 1991.

In fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of 18 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[2]
