Karnit Flug
Karnit Flug (Hebrew: קרנית פלוג; born January 9, 1955) is a Polish-born Israeli economist. She held the position of governor of the Central Bank of Israel between November 2013 and November 2018.[1] She became the first female governor of the Bank of Israel.[2]

Flug won an "A" grade three times in Global Finance Magazine’s annual Central Banker Report Cards, and was repeatedly considered one of the best bank governors in the world.[3]
Biography
Karnit Flug graduated with a master's degree in economics from Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1980, and a PhD in economics at Columbia University in New York City in 1985.[4] She was a member of the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).[5]
