Jahrom University of Medical Sciences

Jahrom University of Medical Sciences (JUMS), is a medical university located in the city of Jahrom in Fars Province, south of Iran.

The university was established by the Iranian Ministry of Health in 1977. At the present, JUMS have three schools including School of Medicine, School of Nursing & Midwifery and School of Para-medicine.[1][2]

Currently, the number of academic members at the University of Medical Sciences is 121. At present, over 1200 students of various disciplines and levels are studying in the university.

The university manages or supervises four hospitals including Seyyedoshohada, Ostad Motahhari, Peymanieh in Jahrom and Khafr Khatam-olanbia, as well as all urban and rural health centers and clinics in the Jahrom county.[3]
