Gin Gangster

The Gin Gangster is a South Korean single-place, paraglider that was designed by Gin Seok Song and produced by Gin Gliders of Yongin. It is now out of production.[1]

Design and development

The Gangster was designed as an intermediate performance glider, to replace the Gin Bandit in the company product line. The models are each named for their relative size.[1]

Variants

Gangster XS
Extra small-sized model for light pilots. Its 10.9 m (35.8 ft) span wing has a wing area of 23.85 m2 (256.7 sq ft), 57 cells and the aspect ratio is 5:1. The pilot weight range is 65 to 80 kg (143 to 176 lb). The glider model is DHV 2 certified.[1]
Gangster S
Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 11.15 m (36.6 ft) span wing has a wing area of 24.88 m2 (267.8 sq ft), 57 cells and the aspect ratio is 5:1. The pilot weight range is 78 to 92 kg (172 to 203 lb). The glider model is DHV 2 certified.[1]
Gangster M
Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 11.6 m (38.1 ft) span wing has a wing area of 27.0 m2 (291 sq ft), 57 cells and the aspect ratio is 5:1. The pilot weight range is 87 to 105 kg (192 to 231 lb). The glider model is DHV 2 certified.[1]
Gangster L
Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 12.1 m (39.7 ft) span wing has a wing area of 29.28 m2 (315.2 sq ft), 57 cells and the aspect ratio is 5:1. The pilot weight range is 100 to 120 kg (220 to 265 lb). The glider model is DHV 2 certified.[1]
