Gargaon College

Gargaon College, established in 1959, is a general degree college situated at Simaluguri, in Sibsagar district, Assam. It is affiliated with Dibrugarh University.[1] The college holds a debating competition every year on its foundation day, the 7th September in memory of its first regular Principal and Founder Late Tanu Konwar.[2] Its teachers are highly qualified and they believe in giving quality education. In inter college youth festival, the college performs brilliant every year. The college has a NSS volunteer unit and the volunteers doing really very well in different fields. Every year the college conducts general election among the students to form the Gargaon College Students' Union. "Gargayan" is the annual magazine of the college and students shows their creativity in it. The Students' Union organises Annual Sports, Literary and Cultural Week of the college annually.[3][4]
