France chose their entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 internally in March 2008, and chose Sébastien Tellier to sing "Divine". As one of the 'Big 4' countries, France automatically qualified for the final on May 24, 2008.

Before Eurovision
Internal selection
On 7 March 2008, France 3 announced that the French entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 would be "Divine" performed by Sébastien Tellier.[1] The song was written by Tellier and was released as part of Tellier's album Sexuality, released on 25 February 2008.
At Eurovision
As one of the 'Big 4' countries, France automatically qualified for the final on May 24, 2008. Sébastien Tellier performed 19th following Ukraine and preceding Azerbaijan. He finished 19th with 47 points.
