Dafahat
Dafahat is a census town of Aurangabad in Suti II CD Block in Jangipur subdivision of Murshidabad district in the state of West Bengal, India.

Demographics
As per the 2011 Census of India, Dafahat had a total population of 15,688, of which 7,817 (50%) were males and 7,871 (50%) were females. Population below 6 years was 3,185. The total number of literates in Dafahat was 7,382 (59.04% of the population over 6 years).[3]
As of 2001 India census,[4] Dafahat had a population of 11,323. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%.
