Geography
The station is on an access road just off Cattlegate Road. A subway links the down (northbound) platform with the entrance on the up (southbound) side.
Services
The train service runs to Moorgate via Highbury & Islington. The service uses Class 717 EMUs, as these are the only units cleared to use the Moorgate tunnels.
The typical service is two trains per hour to Moorgate, and to Hertford North. At weekends, northbound trains continue to Stevenage.
Trains no longer run to London King's Cross station on weeknights (after 22.00) and weekends since the December 2015 timetable change.
The station is unstaffed and there is no ticket machine available. As a result, the station is not a penalty fares station.[3]
Since 2 January 2010, Oyster cards can be used at the station.
