Copper Falls, Michigan
Copper Falls is an unincorporated community in Eagle Harbor, Keweenaw County, Michigan.[1] Copper Falls is named after the waterfall with the same name on the adjacent Owl Creek. The community lies approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from the shore of Lake Superior. Copper Falls was once home to a large mining operation. Mining was conducted in the Copper Falls mine from 1845 until 1901, when it no longer became profitable.[2] There is not much left of the mining community, but as with much of the Copper Country, many ruins and old foundations still remain.
