Charles Lindsay (priest)
Charles Lindsay (12 October 1790 - 23 April 1855)[1] was an Anglican priest in Ireland[2] during the Nineteenth Century,[3] most notably Archdeacon of Kildare[4] from 1818 until his death.[5]
The son of Charles Dalrymple Lindsay, Bishop of Kildare[6] from 1804 [7] to 1846,[8] he was educated at Trinity College, Dublin.[9] Lindsay was appointed Prebendary of Harristown[10] and 2nd Canon[11] of Kildare Cathedral in 1815; Prebendary of St Michael's of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin in 1823[12] and Rector of St. Michael's Church, Dublin in 1826.[13] He died on 23 April 1855.[14]
