Cambridge International School, Dubai is an international private school located in Al Twar 1, Dubai, UAE. The school is managed by the GEMS Education group. Cambridge International School follows the British National Curriculum, offering the elementary school courses for students from FS1 up to Year 6, the middle school programme leading up to the IGCSE programme for students from Year 7 to Year 11, and the Advanced Subsidiary (AS) and A2 level programmes for students in Year 12 and Year 13.[2] As of January 2018, the school has more than 2500 students from more than 65 nationalities enrolled.

Campus
Cambridge International School is split into two sections, one housing the primary school and the other the secondary and senior school. The campus contains a covered swimming pool, cricket nets and playing fields, as well as indoor sports facilities. A kindergarten playing area is also present. Other school facilities include library, art and music studios, and a football pitch.[3][4]
Curriculum
The school follows the National British Curriculum, offering education from FS1 to Year 13.[5]
FS1 to Year 6 students (Foundation and Key Stages 1 and 2) will take part in the elementary school program, learning a general set of subjects.
Year 7 and Year 8 students (Key Stage 3) will continue studying a general set of subjects, preparing them for the IGCSE course.
Year 9 to 11 students (Key Stage 4) will take part in the IGCSE programme, where subjects have to be chosen, in preparation for the A level and BTEC qualifications.[6]
Year 12 and 13 students (Key Stage 5) will take part in either the A levels (AS and A2) programme, or the BTEC Extended level 3 courses offered.[3]
Extracurricular activities
General activities
As of December 2016, the general activities offered include visual arts, drama and dance, as well as other activities such as rafting, mountain biking, camping, rock climbing, canoeing and diving.[7]
Debate
The school boasts an extensive long-running Debate Society, coordinated by Luke Oung and a new Debate Chair every year. The school has participated (with immense success) in Debate Dubai, Gulf Debates, Modern World Debates, World Scholars Cup, and many Model UN's.
Duke of Edinburgh International Award
The International Award (sometimes known as the Duke of Edinburgh award) is an international youth awards programme, founded in the UK. As of December 2016, schools from over 144 countries are participating. The award recognizes adolescents and young adults for completing a series of self-improvement exercises, aimed at bringing together practical experiences and life skills in order to equip those who participate in it. The Cambridge International School allows all students from 14 years of age to take part in the 3 progressive levels of the award (Bronze, Silver and Gold).[8]
Sports
As of December 2016, the sports offered at Cambridge International School include swimming, hockey, basketball, cricket, badminton, football, netball, athletics, rugby, and rounders.[9] Many students pursue their passion for sports by competing in regional, national, and international tournaments.
Student leadership
The school boasts a prestigious leadership strand, titled the SSLT: Senior Student Leadership Team, that works with the SLT, Senior Leadership Team, to drive initiatives in the form of action-plans around the school. Some of these initiatives involve raising funds for breast-cancer patients, organizing a Teacher Appreciation Day (in which students taught all of a specific teacher's lessons for a day), and inducting the first ever student leadership conference in the region: the Cambridge Student Leadership Conference. The SSLT manages further strands: Prefects, Student Council, Interhouse, and CCAS (Cambridge Community Action Service).
