Broughton is a rural locality in the Charters Towers Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2016 census Broughton had a population of 726 people.[1]

History

Broughton Road Provisional School opened circa 1895 and closed circa 1896.[3]

Broughton Provisional School opened in 1905. on 1 January 1909 it became Broughton State School.It closed in 1930.[3]

In the 2016 census Broughton had a population of 726 people.[1]
