Berekum West District
Berekum West District is one of the twelve districts in Bono Region, Ghana.[1] It was originally part of the then-larger Berekum District on 10 March 1989, after being created from the former Berekum-Jaman District within the then-larger Brong-Ahafo Region. Later on, part of the district was split off in 2018 from the then-upgraded Berekum Municipal District to become Berekum West District; thus the remaining original part was renamed as Berekum East Municipal District. The district assembly is located in the western part of Bono Region and has Jinijini as its capital town.
