Battle of River Ibicuí (1817)
The Battle of River Ibicuí was a battle between the Portuguese forces under Brigadier Chagas dos Santos and the Uruguayan rebels forces under General Sotelo. The Portuguese were victorious and inflicted very high casualties on the Uruguayan army.
