Bal Govind Dwivedi (born 15 January 1948 Rari Khurd, Rari Bujurg, Fatehpur, U.P.) is a prolific Hindi poet.

Biography

His father is Ram Pyare Dwivedi and mother is Kamala Dwivedi. He graduated in Mathematics from Kanpur University and became a lecturer of Mathematics at S.N.J.V Inter College, Krishna Nagar, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Along with the teaching job, he continued his studies and obtained both an M.A.(Hindi) and Ph.D.(Hindi). He is a well-known poet in Hindi.

He was awarded in 1994 for his famous book, Astha Ke Phulon Se. This book contains national songs. Gunj Utha hai vyom is also a book of national songs. Yatharth ki Siharan is a book of gazals.
