Australian cricket team in Scotland in 2020
The Australia cricket team were scheduled to tour Scotland in June 2020 to play a one-off Twenty20 International (T20I) match.[1][2] In April 2020, Gus Mackay, Chief Executive of Cricket Scotland, said that they were willing to host the match behind closed doors if necessary, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3] The following month, Kevin Roberts, CEO of Cricket Australia, said that there was still a chance that Australia would tour for this match and their fixtures against England.[4][5] However, on 17 June 2020, Cricket Scotland confirmed that the match had been cancelled due to the pandemic.[6][7] A new date for the match was ruled out, due to costs and logistics.[8]
