Ashok Katariya
Ashok Katariya is an Indian politician from the state of Uttar Pradesh who is a leader of Bharatiya Janta Party. He is a Minister of State with Independent Charge for Transport and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs in the Government of Uttar Pradesh And General Secretary of BJP UP.[1][2]

Early life
Katariya was born in a small village Heempur Prithya of U.P. He belongs to a farmer family. He completed his primary education in his village.[3]
Education
Ashok Katariya holds a post graduate degree in Political science from Rohillkhand university, Bareilly.
Political career
He was from starting a notable leader of Gurjar community.[4][5] In 1994, Katariya was the organisational secretary of ABVP Moradabad Vibhag. In 1996, he was given responsibilities of Meerut Vibhag and he proved his organisational skills. Seeing his tremendous organisational skills and hold on the youth he was given responsibilities of State secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in 2001, in those days he worked for youth revolution in complete Uttar pradesh. In 2004, Kataria was selected President of BJYM Uttar pradesh. In 2007 he was selected State secretary of BJP UP and served for consecutive terms till 2013. In 2013 he was given responsibility of State vice president of BJP UP. During 2014 General elections he was appointed Star campaigner of BJP in U.P. In 2016 he was given responsibility of General Secretary of BJP UP, he is serving the party for second consecutive term.[6]
He has been appointed as Transport Minister of State (Independent Charge) & Parliamentary Affairs Minister of State in Yogi Adityanath ministry on 21 August 2019.[7]
