Gasanova has a career-high WTA singles ranking of 261, first achieved on 15 July 2019. She also has a career high WTA ranking of 260 in doubles, set on 13 August 2018.
Gasanova made her WTA main draw debut at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Women's Tennis Open, qualifying for the main draw, defeating Ena Shibahara in the final qualifying round.[1] She scored her first ever top 10 win in the second round of that tournament, defeating former world No. 1 Karolína Plíšková in straight sets.[2]
