Mayor of the town is Johann Neubauer from the party Heimatliste Alberndorf (HLA). Chief Officer is Marion Koran. The town council, consisting of 15 seats, is distributed to following parties after the election on 14. March 2010: HLA (Heimatliste Alberndorf) 8, list ÖVP 5, SPÖ 1, FPÖ 1.
