Al-Fiqh al-Akbar

Al-Fiqh al-Akbar (Arabic: الفقه الأكبر ) is an early Islamic text. It is one of the few surviving works of Abu Hanifa.[1] It helps understanding of Allah, other divine communications with messengers, and events of the hereafter.[2][3][4] It describes Islamic theology and the mystery of the Islamic creed.[5][6]

This book discusses the history of creation and tries to convey the secret of Allah. This book defines the relationship between creator and creation. It raises many critical questions. Imam Abu Hanifa resolves these questions clearly and comprehensively.[7]

Reception

Al-Fiqh al-Akbar is popular throughout the world. It is cited by many Muslim and Islamic scholars. It is considered essential for the study of Islamic theology and philosophy.[8][9][10]

In 2007, Abdur-Rahman Ibn Yusuf released a new English translation of this text, Al-Fiqh al-Akbar Explained.[11]
