Aishiya
Aïshiye (Arabic: عيشية) is a village in southern Lebanon . It's 82 kilometers far from Beirut and on altitude of 750 meters . Its population is about 4000 person and more than 130 house (as of 2008).

The name "aïchiye" ( العيشية-aaychiya) goes back to the word "live", which is the symbol of comfortable living, and the life surrounded by the beauty of the picturesque nature, which is summarized by forests with "pine tide", which represents a green blanket that summarizes the splendor and beauty of Lebanon.
There are 2 churches in Aïchiye :Mar Antonios (مار انطونيوس) church, build before the lebanese civil war (1975-1990) then renovated , and the church of the Lady (السيدة العذراء) built after the war.
Its soil is fertile, which makes its inhabitants dependent on raising livestock, bees, chickens, and growing olives and fruits such as grapes, peaches and apricots ... The spring of the village contributes to the irrigation of cultivated lands.
