History
Adams Township is named for Stephen Adams, who was instrumental in the organization of this township.[1]
Geography
Adams Township covers an area of 39.86 square miles (103.2 km2) and contains a portion of the city of De Soto on the township's eastern border. According to the USGS, it contains four cemeteries: Ellis, Longmire, McKibben and Panther Creek.
The streams of Bear Creek, Coal Creek and Panther Creek run through this township.
