† 2021 SEC Tournament winner As of February 6, 2021; Rankings from AP Poll |
As of December 13, Vanderbilt announced that they would allow families to attend Vanderbilt basketball games through the end of December.[1]
Previous season
Last year's Vanderbilt men's basketball team finished the season 11–21, 3–15 against SEC opponents to finish in last place. They took on the Arkansas Razorbacks in round 1 of the SEC Tournament. Later, the rest of that tournament and the rest of the college basketball postseason was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Regardless, the team's 11–21 record likely would have kept them out of the NCAA Tournament.[2][3]
