2002 FIFA World Cup statistics
These are the statistics for the 2002 FIFA World Cup which occurred from the 31 of May till the 30 of June 2002, across venues in South Korea and Japan.[1] This was the 17th World Cup, which is held every four years between countries in a round-robin format, where there are eight groups of four teams who play each other once with the top two teams from each group going through to knock-out stages with a single winner.
