Background
I Dont Know How But They Found Me is a band created by Dallon Weekes (formerly of Panic! at the Disco) and Ryan Seaman (formerly of Falling In Reverse). They performed secret shows throughout 2017 and finally released their debut single, "Modern Day Cain" on August 18, 2017.[3] "Choke", the first song released that will appear on the EP, was released on October 26, 2017.[4] On August 24, 2018, the band along released a second single titled "Do It All The Time", alongside a re-released version of "Choke" with updated artwork. On October 12, 2018, they announced the 1981 Extended Play and released the music video for "Do It All the Time".[5] The third and final single from the EP, "Bleed Magic", was released on October 26, 2018.[6] On physical copies of the EP, the track "Choke" has a sample of the 1973 British Public Information short film, Lonely Water, at the very end.
