The 1974 Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship was the 84th staging of the Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Tipperary County Board in 1887.

Roscrea were the defending champions.
Thurles Sarsfields won the championship after a 3-06 to 1-10 defeat of Silvermines in the final at Semple Stadium.[1] It was their 28th championship title overall and their first title since 1965.
