Žirovnica, Mavrovo and Rostuša
Žirovnica (Macedonian: Жировница, Albanian: Zheranicë) is a village in the municipality of Mavrovo and Rostuša, North Macedonia.

Demographics
Žirovnica has traditionally been inhabited by a Muslim Macedonian (Torbeš) population.[1] The village contains municipal services and civic buildings.[2] As such in recent decades, some Upper Reka Albanian residents from neighbouring Vrbjani have migrated to Žirovnica and number 258 people.[2]
According to the 2002 census, the village had a total of 1608 inhabitants.[3] Ethnic groups in the village include:[3]
