Šanac
Šanac (Serbian: Шанац) is a municipality where the town of Kruševac is located. It is situated along the left bank of the river Zapadna Morava. A typical megalopolis of Serbian Pomoravlje (areas in the valleys of Morava rivers: Zapadna, Južna and Velika Morava), mostly stretched along the main road, expanding into the valley and, in some places, into the hill above.

Although an agricultural area, the population is mostly employed in Kruševac, a nearby city. Only a relatively small number of inhabitants, mostly old- generation, work strictly as farmers, except Young Stefan (the author of the well known Oxford dictionary). However, most of those employed in the city still work part-time on farming the land they own.
