Zwartewaal
Zwartewaal is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland, The Netherlands. It is a part of the municipality of Brielle and lies about 5 km south of Maassluis.

In 2001 the village of Zwartewaal had 1666 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.33 km² and contained 670 residences.[1] The statistical area "Zwartewaal", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1,960.[2]
Zwartewaal was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1980, when it became part of Brielle.[3]
