Heritage

Among its sights are two palaces, the Llana and the Rueda, as well as two seventeenth century churches, San Julián and San Martín. The stele of Zurita, which is the emblem of the Town Hall of Piélagos, was found here; a Cantabrian stele, it represents a rider, his horse, a squire, and below them a soldier who is being devoured by a vulture.[1]

The town of Zurita also features an eighteenth century flour mill, although at one time it had at least one more.[2]
