Zuberi
'Zubairi', or 'Zuberi' (Arabic: زبيري), is a family name in South Asia and the Middle East. In Arabic, Zubair means Superior.
Zuberi is a clan of Muslims who lived in Uttar Pradesh South Asia. They are believed to have originated in the Middle East. They are also known as Zubairi. They are entirely Sunni and speak Urdu. As much as half the community has emigrated to Pakistan, and are now found mainly in Karachi.
Several prominent Zuberis lived in U.P (Uttar Pradesh) in Meerut , Saharanpur and Marehra who later on migrated to Pakistani cities after the Indo-Pakistan separation.
