Yung Mung Sung

Yung Mung Sung is an upcoming Tamil comedy-drama film written and directed by M. S. Arjun. Prabhu Deva features in the leading role, while Lakshmi Menon selected as lead heroine, while Thangar Bachan and RJ Balaji play other pivotal roles. The film began production in February 2017.[1][2] Prabhu Deva is revealed to be playing a Kung Fu specialist in the film, which is a period drama that happens in 1970-87.[3]

Prabhu Deva agreed terms to work with newcomer Arjun for the comedy film Yung Mung Sung in January 2017, with Vasan Visual Ventures taking the role of producers. Actors Thangar Bachan and RJ Balaji were also recruited for the film, with the former signed to feature as the father of Deva's character.[4][5] The team held talks with Catherine Tresa to play the lead actress, but her unavailability led the team to cast Lakshmi Menon in the role.[6][7] Prabhu Deva was revealed to be playing a Kung Fu master in the film, which is a period drama that travels from the 1970s to the 1980s.[8]

The film began production on 9 February 2017 following a launch event held in Chennai.[9] Recently Amresh recorded a song sung by Shankar Mahadevan and it was penned by Prabhu Deva.[10]
