The village was occupied by the Armenian in 1990 and the village's Azerbaijani inhabitants were expelled from it. The village is now administered as part of Tavush Province of Armenia.[3] It was also renamed Verin Voskepar (Armenian: Վերին Ոսկեպար) during its occupation.
