Career
Born in the Ivory Coast to a Malian father and an Ivorian mother, Diallo began playing football in the youth system of Tunisian club Étoile du Sahel. He moved to France where he played amateur football for Stade Morlaix and Champigny-sur-Marne. Diallo was recruited to Stade Morlaix along with several other young footballers from Africa under false pretenses, and he was destitute by the time he left the club.[1]
Before playing for Mali at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship in the United Arab Emirates, he had a successful trial and joined Ligue 2 side US Créteil-Lusitanos.[2] After making only 3 substitute's appearances in the 2003–04 season (1 in the league, 1 in the Coupe de la Ligue and 1 in the Coupe de France),[3] Diallo played for the club's reserve side and he left the club after his contract was not renewed in 2005.[4]
