Yauheniya Varabyova

Yauheniya Varabyova also written as Yeugeniya Vorobyova, Yevgeniya Vorobyova, Jevgenija Vorobjova or Evgeniya Vorobeva (native: Евгения Воробьева; born 1 April 1998 in Mogilev) is a Belarusian long track speed skater, who is active since 2007.[1] At the 2020 European Speed Skating Championships she won the bronze medal in the tean pursuit event.

As a junior Varabyova became junior national allround champion in 2017. She participated at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics and 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 World Junior Speed Skating Championships. At elite level Varabyova represented her nation at the 2018 European Speed Skating Championships in the 500 metres event (19th) and mass start event (16th) and at the 2020 European Speed Skating Championships in the 500 metres event (18th), 1000 metres event, tean pursuit event (3rd) and team sprint event (4th).[2] She also competed at other international competitions, including at ISU Speed Skating World Cups.[2]

Varabyova won many medals at national championships, but became as of 2020 never national champion. She rode with the Belarusian team several Belarusian speed skating records in the team pursuit and team sprint.
