Yanderra
Yanderra is a small village situated on the border of the Southern Highlands and Macarthur Region of New South Wales, Australia.

Geography
Yanderra is part of Wollondilly located between Bargo and Southern Highlands' Yerrinbool, and is located next to the Hume Highway.
Population
At the 2016 census, Yanderra had a population of 661.[1] The name Yanderra comes from an Aboriginal word for turpentine tree.[2]
Transport
A railway station was located at Yanderra on the Main South railway line between 1924 and 1975. The station has now been demolished and no trace remains.
Commercial area
The Yanderra Rural Fire Brigade provides fire protection to its jurisdiction of the township of Yanderra.[3]
The Yanderra General Store & Café provides the everyday needs for the community and surrounds and also provides takeaway or dine-in meal options and coffee for tourists and locals alike. The General Store is now closed.
