We Are Water Protectors

We Are Water Protectors is a 2020 picture book written by Carole Lindstrom and illustrated by Michaela Goade. The book tells the story of an Ojibwe girl who fights against the Dakota Access Pipeline. The book won the Jane Addams Children's Book Award in the category Book for Younger Children.[1] Goade won the Caldecott Medal for her illustrations in the book.[2][3]
