Season 1

It's the year 2002. It all starts when Sena predicts to Mubera that some misfortune will happen. Saying her famous words: "Look at the car, and the two hats in it." Indeed, Milan and Danica Golijanin are returning to Sarajevo from Norway due to nostalgia and they intend to live in their apartment. After they came to Sarajevo, they met a long-time friend Miro, Sena's husband, who promised to help them if they needed anything. After they rang the doorbell of their own apartment, the youngest member of the Husika family, Merima, opened it for them. Milan asked her to call her mother. And she called her mother, Alma, who recognized them and angrily slammed the door in front of them. The Husika family stands in front of the door in horror, waiting for them to leave. They left, but the bell rang again. Alma decides to take out the fuse. She did so, but there was a thud, then she stumbled and fell. After that, the phone rang. It was Suad, who had returned from the market. After they open the door for him, she explains everything to him. In the meantime, Milan and Danica are going to Miro and Sena and will be there until they return the apartment. The next day, the two families meet in the municipality. Both families should have a conversation with the bribe-taker Ranko, whom the Golijans bribe with a large sum of money. Alma threatens Ranka that she will drop a bomb if the eviction occurs. Because of that threat, police officers Petar and Saša come to search the apartment. Saša finds the love of his life, Belma, Alma and Suad's eldest daughter. Thinking that Sasha is a non-Muslim Mubera will defend that relationship, until he finds out that Sasha is a Muslim, and that his real name is Sabahudin. Alma and Mubera decide to bribe Ranko as well, giving a much smaller amount of money than Milan and Danica. Ranka decides to call the police, and Mubera runs away. The next day, Milan is found by mobsters Soko and Žuti, because they are interested in the apartment. After that, Milan meets his pre-war friend Rile, Mubera's son. Rile told Milan that he needed a favor, and that was to enroll Belma in college. It was not difficult for Milan, considering that the Dean, the owner of the faculty, is his cousin. Suad and Alma went to visit the collective centers, however when they returned Alma did not even want to hear anymore about the collective center. On the same day, she goes to the OHR and submits a decision on how they cannot be evicted from the apartment until a new apartment is built for them, and tomorrow she will go to the municipality with that document. However, Ranka considers that document is invalid and compiles an eviction document. According to this, the Husika family will be evicted in 7 days. Alma yells the document and throws it in the trash. After that, Alma and Mubera unhappily leave Ranka's office. On the way out of the municipality, they met Milan and Danica who were carrying huge bags full of everything. They claimed that it was for the Dean, the owner of the faculty who is Milan's cousin, however it was for Ranka. On the same day, both families receive an eviction order. That same solution Alma crowds and throws in a vase. Suad and Alma quarrel over this, but Rile comes, and they agree that Suad takes full responsibility for everything. Milan and Danica are organizing a celebration on the occasion of returning to the apartment, and they are calling the whole neighborhood. Zlata, Mubera's friend, goes to that celebration not knowing what it is about. After she finds out, she breaks up the celebration, and many are involved in a fight, insulted, until Soko and Žuti arrive. Everyone then leaves, except Mira and Milan who play chess with Miro, eventually he loses his temper and leaves. They decide to beat Milan, so the chess game dragged on until dawn, more precisely until Rile came and beat the mobsters. Ranka has already arrived, so Rile decides to help her family. He introduces himself as a security guard, and leads Ranka all the way to Husika's. However, halfway there, Ranka falls and bends her knee. When they came to Husika's, Alma healed her wound. Milan also comes to that, what appears to be his apartment after ten years. Ranka suggests that the families live together. They sign an agreement that they want to live together. When Milan, Ranka and Rile leave, the rebellious girls come down. Alma manages to drive Neira and Merima into the room, but not Belma. She stayed. Only then does Milan remember that he did not convince the Dean, and the sooner the better he goes to him. They agree, but 2,000 marks should be given for registration. After a short time, Ranka comes up with a solution that says that the families can live together. And all would have been well had Belma not ruined everything in the end by saying "Uncle Rile!" in front of Ranka. That made Ranka hate Rile. However, that was the crucial moment in which the lives of the two families began.
