Virendra Razdan

Virendra Razdan (Hindi : विरेंद्र राज़दान), (Urdu : ویریندر رازدان) (c. 1950 – 13 June 2003) was an Indian Film and Television Actor. Virendra Razdan got famous for his role of Statesman Vidura in 1988 Television serial Mahabharat directed by BR Chopra.

Career

He is best known for his portrayal of Maulana Azad, a leading figure of the Indian independence movement, in the 1982 biographical film Gandhi directed by Richard Attenborough.[1] and for his role of statesman Vidura[1] in the Indian television series Mahabharat. He also played a supporting role in the Aditya Pancholi-starrer Zanjeer: The Chain (1998).[2]

Early life

Virendra Razdan's father was a Sufi musician. He was a Kashmiri Pandit. He studied method acting at the National School of Drama in New Delhi, where he was a student of Ibrahim Alkazi.

Death

Virendra Razdan was born in Kashmir and he died in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on 13 June 2003, at the age of 53.
