Vicars Cross
Vicars Cross (originally "Vicar's Cross" and sometimes "Viccas Cross") is a large suburban area situated on the east side of Chester, in Cheshire, England. At the 2001 Census the area had a population of 5,663.[1]

The local primary school in Vicars Cross is Oldfield Primary which is situated in Green Lane. Most of the local children go on to attend Christleton High School.
In Vicars Cross there is a United Reformed Church, an authority controlled library in Green Lane, a County Youth Centre and a Scout hut (both in Thackeray Drive) and The Centurion pub. There are also many community groups including the Women's Guild and Women's Institute, a parent and toddler group, scouts; brownies; a football club (Vicars Cross Dynamos) and Chester Rugby Union Football Club, part of which is located in Piper's Ash and Guilden Sutton.

Parish Council
Great Boughton Parish Council comprises the North and South Wards. There are eight parish councillors in the North Ward, six of whom are Conservatives and two are Liberal Democrats.
The South Ward of the parish has seven councillors serving Boughton Heath. All but one of the councillors are Conservatives. The Parish Council usually meets on the third Monday of every month.
