Qualifications
Varsity College offers undergraduate higher certificates, diplomas, and degrees; postgraduate degrees; and short learning programs, which are available at IIE's Business School, a division of Varsity College. Focus is placed on small lecture groups, interactive lectures, and modern technology in the educational space.[3] Modes of delivery include full-time, part-time, online, and distance education.
Campuses
Varsity College has eight campuses across South Africa, located in Cape Town, Durban (North and Westville), Pretoria, Midrand, Sandton, Pietermaritzburg, and Port Elizabeth.[4]
Organisation
Varsity College is the largest of IIE's tertiary institutions owned by the ADvTECH Group, with its national offices located in Cape Town, Midrand, and Durban.[5]
The executive head of Varsity College is the director, Louise Wiseman, who has the overall responsibility for the policy and administration of the college. The academic departments of Varsity College are divided into faculties, with each having a faculty head. Programmes are grouped into departments, run by department heads, at the campus level.
ADvTECH's academic leadership and governance system incorporates the AAC and Senate. The AAC, which includes external leaders in education and business, advises the ADvTECH Board, Senate, and IIE on academic matters. The Senate is responsible, either directly or through its committees, for the structure and curriculum of all programmes, teaching and learning, libraries, research, and student conduct.[6]
Student life
There are a number of academic and special interest student societies at Varsity College, as well as numerous sporting programs, which vary between campuses. Varsity College runs general sports clubs, with teams including rugby, action soccer, golf, waterpolo, basketball, and hockey.[7]

The IIE is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a private higher education provider, under the Higher Education Act, 1997.[8] The IIE is also accredited by the British Accreditation Council.[6]
