USCGC Reliance (WSC-150) was a 125-foot (38 m) Active-class patrol boat of the United States Coast Guard.

She served from 1927 to 1948.[2]
In a 2014 interview, 94-year-old veteran Melvin Bell described serving on Reliance in 1939.[3] He said he had good shipmates, good food, but that vessels like Reliance had limited supplies of fresh water.
USCGC Reliance inspected the French Frigate Shoals in March 1936.[4]

We didn’t have all the facilities like the large ships did. All the electrical equipment ran off of batteries. I had to make sure our batteries were always fully charged. We didn’t make much fresh water so we couldn’t take a shower very often.
