Typhoon Juaning
The name Juaning was submitted by PAGASA for tropical storms that formed in 2003, 2007, and 2011.
All three storms are thus known as Tropical Storm Juaning in the Philippines but have different official names as chosen by the Japan Meteorological Agency.
- Tropical Storm Morakot (2003)- A tropical storm which was recognized as a Category 1 by the JTWC.
- Tropical Storm Faxai (2007)- Neared Japan.
- Tropical Storm Nock-ten (2011)- Devastated the Bicol Region, which led to its retirement.
Due to the extensive damage caused by Tropical Storm Nock-ten (Juaning) in 2011, PAGASA retired the name "Juaning" and used Jenny for future seasons.
