Tyjani Beztati

Tyjani Beztati (born October 21, 1997) is a Dutch-Moroccan kickboxer and fights out of Morocco. He is a two time Glory Lightweight Championship challenger. Beztati is ranked the #2 lightweight in the world by Glory.[4]

Kickboxing career

He challenged for the Glory Lightweight Championship for the first time during Glory 53, which was at the time held by Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong. Sitthichai won the fight by a unanimous decision.[5][6]

After his failed title bid, Beztati fought Christian Baya, who was likewise looking to bounce back from a loss.[7] Beztati won the fight by a split decision. He next fought Stoyan Koprivlenski, winning the fight by a unanimous decision.[8] Five months later, he fought Josh Jauncey during Glory 65. Beztati won the fight by a unanimous decision.[9]

Tyjani fought for Glory Lightweight Championship the held at the time by Marat Grigorian during Glory 69.[10] Marat won the fight by a unanimous decision.[11]

Beztati fought Michaël Palandre during Glory 75. He won the fight by a TKO in the second round, as Palandre suffered a broken arm.[12]
