History

Tribute Quartet was born out of the vision that Gary Casto and Josh Singletary had for a ministry. In 2005 Jackie and Elaine Wilburn decided to retire The Wilburn's and come off the road.[1] Two of the remaining members decided to form their own group. Gary Casto and Josh Singletary formed Monument Quartet with Marshall Pugh and Dennis Dugger.[2] Pugh was known for his time with Vestal Goodman and Dugger had previously sung with the Apostles. After their sophomore project, in December 2006, Casto, Singletary and Dugger left Monument Quartet and hired Jacob Kitson to form Tribute Quartet and were signed to BSA World Records.[3]

In 2008, Tribute was named Absolutely Gospel Music's Breakthrough Artist of the Year.[4] In the same year, the group was also voted the Horizon Group of the Year by readers of Singing News magazine.[5] 2008 also brought the first change for Tribute Quartet. In June, Kitson left the group to join Greater Vision. He was replaced at the tenor position by Brian Alvey. In 2009 the group signed with Crossroads Music joining comparable artists such as The Kingdom Heirs and The Talley Trio.[6]

After singing with Tribute Quartet for two years, Alvey left the group in June 2010 for a marketing and promotions job. After a short stint with the Voices of Lee, 18-year old Riley Harrison Clark was chosen to replace Alvey. In early 2011 Dennis Dugger decided to come off the road. Joining the group as the new bass singer was Anthony Davis, a former law enforcement officer.[7]

In 2014 Tribute Quartet left the Crossroads Music Sonlite label and signed on with Daywind Records.[8]

The current line-up has allowed the group to evolve and, with the help of producer Wayne Haun, find their sound. Riley Harrison Clark is fan favorite with his big ballads and interpretation of songs. Josh Singletary is known for being an anchor, providing stability and incomparable musical talent. His crooner sound has set him apart from other baritones in this genre and you can always count on him for a good time. Gary Casto adds to the group with his unique sound and writing. Anthony Davis has come a long way to becoming one of the best bass singers in the industry.

Tribute Quartet has made many appearances at the National Quartet Convention, Silver Dollar City, Dollywood, and on television networks such as Fox News, DayStar and TBN.
