Current status
As of 2011, Timișoara North serves about 126 trains,[1] including domestic trains to the majority of Romanian cities operated by Căile Ferate Române as well international trains to Budapest in Hungary. Trains to Belgrade in Serbia have been discontinued as of the 1st of August 2017. The train route now only runs as far as the Romanian border village of Stamora Germană in the commune of Moravița, 5 km from the Serbian border.
The main domestic lines are Bucharest – Craiova – Caransebeş – Timișoara North and Timișoara North – Arad – Oradea.
