Tim Challies
Tim Challies (born 1976) is a Canadian author, blogger and pastor who is a reformed theologian. Challies was an early adopter of the blog format and started writing with a focus on theology, book reviews and social commentary. Later, he published several books describing how Christians should approach technology, cultural analysis and pornography. More recently, he has also become the pastor of Grace Fellowship Church in Toronto, Ontario.[1]
Challies gained recent media attention with his stance against sleep-overs, explaining "we didn’t want to put our children in situations where they were young and vulnerable and still too immature and still too unequipped to know how to deal with the situation.”[2]
R. Albert Mohler calls Challies "one of the finest young evangelical thinkers of our day."[3]
Personal life
Challies is married with three children. His son, Nicholas Paul Challies (Nick), passed away suddenly on 3 November 2020. [4]
